Considering buying a certified pre-owned model? Mercedes-Benz and Lexus each offer multiple benefits in their CPO programs. However, Mercedes-Benz offers additional features, including a 7-day/500-mile Exchange Privilege. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-owned vehicles are inspected more thoroughly, giving Mercedes-Benz drivers more peace of mind knowing that they’re getting a high-quality vehicle. Lexus vs. Mercedes-Benz: Sedans

  • CLA vs. Lexus IS: The Mercedes-Benz CLA has a starting MSRP of $33,100, while the Lexus IS has a starting MSRP of $38,410. However, even though the CLA is priced more competitively, the CLA offers 14-way power front seats and standard front seat memory — unlike the Lexus IS.
  • E-Class vs. Lexus GS: The Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class are both powered by a 2.0L turbo inline-4 engine that generates 241 hp. The E-Class, however, produces 15 lb-ft of torque more than the GS. The E-Class also provides more responsive handling with a 9G-TRONIC® 9-speed automatic transmission and offers exclusive features, including Car-to-X Communication and 64-color LED ambient interior lighting.
  • S-Class vs. Lexus LS: The S-Class S 450 Sedan has a higher starting MSRP, but it offers a number of features that are optional on the Lexus LS. For example, the S-Class comes with standard leather upholstery and a standard panorama roof.

Lexus vs. Mercedes-Benz: SUVs

  • GLA vs. Lexus NX: The Mercedes-Benz GLA starts at $33,950, and the Lexus NX has a starting MSRP of $36,485. Though the GLA costs less, the GLA comes with features that the NX does not provide as standard or offer at all. These features include 14-way power-adjustable front seats and front seats with memory.
  • GLC vs. Lexus RX: Inside the GLC, you’ll find driver memory settings as standard and 19.4 cubic feet of dedicated cargo space. You won’t find these standard features inside the RX, plus its cargo area is 18.4 cubic feet with the rear seat in use. The GLC is also more efficient in the city and costs almost $3,000 less.
  • GLS vs. Lexus LX: The Lexus LX has a starting MSRP of $86,080, while the GLS starts at $70,150 MSRP. While the LX is considerably more expensive, the GLS offers more space. The GLS provides up to 93.8 cubic feet of cargo room with the rear seats folded; the LX provides 83.1 cubic feet of cargo space.
