Employee Spotlight: Q & A with Francisco Nunez

August 9th, 2018 by

Here at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago, we truly believe the tried-and-true saying, “Happy employees equal happy customers!”

For this week’s Employee Spotlight, we spoke with Francisco Nunez, our very own Service Consultant here at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago.

“I try to get people to smile and look at the brighter side of a gloomy day!” –Francisco Nunez

Mercedes-Benz of Chicago: What’s your current title and how long have you been with the Mercedes-Benz of Chicago?

Francisco Nunez: I’m a Service Consultant here at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago and have been here since early March of this year!

MBC: How long have you been in the automotive industry and how did you first get your start?

FN: About five years, on and off. My first career in the automotive industry was a porter.

MBC: What do your day-to-day operations consist of?

FN: I assist customers who require either service or repairs on their Mercedes-Benz and most importantly, I try to get people to smile and look at the brighter side of a gloomy day!

MBC: Anything cool or interesting you’re currently working on lately?

FN: I recently worked with the warranty company on the behalf of our client to make sure everything was covered in a repair!

MBC: What’s your favorite part about working at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago?

FN: I love our Service Director, Geoff Hult he plays a great part in keeping the team motivated. The people I work with are pretty great too!

MBC: What is currently your favorite vehicle?

FN: Without a doubt, the 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. The vehicle was made with love by many different hands that came together to create a beautiful work of art.

MBC: Have any hobbies or current obsessions?

FN: I love to skateboard, though only when my insurance policy is active and long nature walks.

MBC: If you could see any musical artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

FN: Chance the Rapper as he is one of the most humbling and admirable artists in my eyes. He has done so much for our public school system and supported those less fortunate than us, all the while, remaining away from the spotlight. He doesn’t help others to make himself look good, he does so because he truly does care for others!

MBC: If you could visit anywhere in the world that you’ve never been to, where would you go?

FN: Tokyo, Japan. It seems completely opposite from what we are accustomed to here in the states. Also because of my love for racing and independent racing teams from Japan!

MBC: What is your favorite part about living in the city of Chicago?

FN: The beautiful people here!

MBC: Finally, what keeps you motivated every day?

FN: Retirement by the age of 28!

Experience the Fletcher Jones Difference. It’s our motto. Come down for a visit and say hi to Francisco and see his contagious smile, or any of our other friendly staff and see why we’re different!
