Check out the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4²

March 20th, 2015 by

A bold version of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-class made its debut recently at the Geneva Motor Show, and it’s about as authentic and luxurious an off-roader as it gets.

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42 concept has almost 18 inches of ground clearance, can ford over three feet over water, and sports 22-inch wheels and tires. The model also boasts a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that delivers an incredible 416 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque, as well as permanent all-wheel drive, so there is no lack of power and obstacle-conquering power.

Although it’s unclear when and if this car will hit production later this year, and if it will come to the U.S., it’s a nice reminder that our luxury automaker is capable of producing a monster of an off-roader. Visit the team at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago to ask about the G-Class or any of the luxury Mercedes-Benz SUVs, available right at our Chicago, IL dealership.
