June 27th, 2018 by

On Sunday, June 24 2018, thousands of Chicagoans including Mercedes-Benz of Chicago, put on their best rainbow colored gear and lined the glitter-strewn streets of Lakeview and Uptown to celebrate the 49th annual Chicago Pride Parade. 150 floats, bands and performers including, the Mercedes-Benz colorful G-Class SUVs, marched their way from Montrose and Broadway to Lincoln Park.

Leading the pack of pride-goers was the 2018 Pride Parade grand marshal, Orlando “El Fenomeno” Cruz, the world’s first openly gay active professional boxer. Also strutting through Boystown was RuPaul’s Drag Race, Season 10’s Monét X Change riding in the Galacticbeam G-Wagon!

The purple G-Wagon wasn’t the only Mercedes-Benz showing some pride. The entire G-Class family in AMG® Performance Studio colors also made an appearance! Pride-goers and car enthusiasts alike were able to take photos with the G-Wagon display parked by Wood Restaurant in Boystown.
