The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is making its way to Mercedes-Benz of Chicago, bringing with it a more aerodynamic design, smoother ride quality, and captivating new extras. To jump behind the wheel of the 2017 E-Class as soon as possible, be sure to look for it in our new inventory! Expected to make its debut this month, the new E-Class promises performance leaps and bounds ahead of many luxury vehicles of its kind, as well as amenities and safety features in spades.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will begin with a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine that outputs a powerful yet efficient 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. After the launch of the new E-Class, Chicago and Oak Park drivers can expect to see additional models, each offering unique levels of power and efficiency. Paired with each engine is a standard 9G-TRONIC® automatic transmission, which offers the following benefits:
For even smoother ride quality, the upcoming E-Class will feature two DIRECT CONTROL® suspensions: Comfort and Sport. Offering highly reactive adjustment, the optional AIR BODY CONTROL® suspension system with DYNAMIC SELECT® uses three chambers of varied front and rear springs struts to self-level and adapt to irregular road conditions.
The interior of the tenth generation E-Class intermingles its astounding performance capabilities with timeless style and ultra-modern technology. The cockpit will include a multi-function steering wheel and a best-in-class 12.3-inch high-resolution display screen, providing access to the following:
Ambient LED lighting with 64 unique colors enhances the signatures of the E-Class cabin, including the wood trims and leather upholstery. The newly redesigned seats provide long-lasting comfort, while the rear bench seat can be folded into a 40/20/40 split. New for this segment, the Warmth and Comfort Package can be integrated for a heated steering wheel, front seats, door armrest, and center console – helping to combat harsh Chicago winters.
The E-Class continues to carry the torch as one of the techiest vehicles in its segment, what with its generous array of driver assist systems. To start, ATTENTION ASSIST® carries over for the 2017 model year, and scans drivers’ behaviors on long trips for any indication of drowsiness. Able to brake autonomously in emergency situations, Active Brake Assist helps drivers apply the correct amount of brake force during sudden stops, lessening the chances of a collision. If a collision is detected, standard PRESAFE® Sound, part of the crash-mitigating PRESAFE® family, triggers the stapedius reflex inside the human ear, preparing occupants for the sound of an impact. The optional Driver Assistance Package PLUS can be incorporated for the following:
