Marie Burke | mariekirkburke.com
Marie Kirk Burke's work is representational and has been described as existential and nostalgic. Shapes of color and the effects of light inspire and inform her work. Capturing a fleeting simple image and the sentimental impact of it's commonality.

Marie received a B.F.A. from Boston College, studied at the Decordava Museum School in Lincoln Ma. and earned a certificate in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Marie is presently showing her work at Homey Gallery in Chicago.

Grant William Thye | http://gwthye.com/home.html
Synonymous with life, my work is an eclectic mix, consisting of oil paintings, wood-block prints, etchings, and drawings. If I want to make a sculpture out of wood, clay, or paper, I want to be able to do that. Having the flexibility and freedom to completely immerse myself in whatever medium comes to mind, that is when I am happiest, the most free. I continually find myself fascinated by the internal calmness, clarity, and visual excitement of my artwork. The power, fascination, and inspiration I internalize from visual images of memories or reflections on thoughts and feelings, brings my work to life.

With the tallest stills, the most advanced approach to extra-maturation and a commitment to only ever using our casks twice, you could say we're striving for one thing. By buying up all the land surrounding our distillery we have guaranteed that the quality of our mineral rich water will never be compromised. Our other key ingredient is barley, which we make sure is always Scottish. Thanks to our unconventional founder William Matheson we now have the tallest stills in Scotland, ensuring that our distilled spirit is the lightest, purest and most elegant in the business. Our obsession with finding the perfect wood in which to mature Glenmorangie has seen us travel the world, hand selecting the oak trees. We are committed to never, ever filling our casks more than twice, unlike others in the industry who can use them up to six or seven times. Traditionally we have employed sixteen men to make our whisky. Men whose skills, passed down from one generation to the next, are pretty much the same today as they've always been.
