New Mercedes-Benz Models Featured in Superbowl Advertising

Mercedes-Benz revealed (partially) two eagerly anticipated models in an advertisement sure the Superbowl last weekend.

The "Welcome" advertisement introduced four new Mercedes-Benz models: the SLK and CLS63 AMG models along with the new SLS cabrio and C-Class coupe.

Mercedes-Benz is expanding their line of diesel models

 
According to Philipp Schiemer, Mercedes-Benz's vice-president for project managment, Mercedes-Benz is aiming to sell 8 diesel models in the United States by 2014. Currently, Mercedes-Benz sells diesel variants of the E-Class, M-Class, GL-Class and the R-Class. The Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTec which debuted at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, will arrive later this fall in showrooms.

Mercedes-Benz AMG A-Class Hatch Back

Mercedes-Benz is throwing its hat into the hatchback ring, and with a concept too hot for TV, but not for your driveway or the street! The German auto maker will introducing an AMG variant of the next-generation A-Class, according to British magazine Autocar.

Autocar reports that Mercedes-Benz's performance division "is working on a 320 bhp (239 kW / 324 PS) AMG A-Class, possible labeled the A25 AMG." This model will come with a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, and be fitted with all-wheel drive.
