Well, summer is here in Chicago, and with it, the latest Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class SUV. It's been significantly upgraded for 2013, with an impressive list of tweaks to the exterior, interior, and available powertrains.
What you'll notice on the outside: new geometric wheel arches with a more demanding presence, a redesigned front fascia, oversize taillights, and chrome accents throughout.
What you'll notice on the inside: rich wooden inlays, jet-engine inspired air vents, and new upholstery colors and combinations. A redesigned dash and steering wheel deliver a more welcoming experience.
Under the hood: A new 3.5-liter direct-injection V6 engine, sending 302 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque to the wheels. And it's more fuel-efficient than ever before.
Other highlights for the 2013 GLK-Class: 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission, Advanced AGILITY CONTROL suspension, available 4MATIC all-wheel drive, driver drowsiness monitor, Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control, PRE-SAFE brake, blind spot assistance and lane keeping assistance. New LED daytime running lights and LED taillights are now standard.
As Mercedes-Benz explains, "There's certainly a formula for the typical small SUV, but it's one the GLK350 doesn't adhere to."1
You'll be able to see this for yourself, soon, right here at Mercedes-Benz of Chicago, 1520 W North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60642. Stay tuned for more!
