Later this year, Mercedes-Benz will start producing their new A-Class ECell. This car is an all-electric compact five-seater and will have an initial run of only 500 unites.

The E-Cell has an electric motor that delivers up to 95 horsepower. On average, the all-electric engine puts out 68 horsepower, which allows the car to get up to 62 mph in about 14 seconds. The car is electronically-limited at a top speed of 93 mph.

The release of Mercedes-Benz's first teaser images for the 2012 SLK came from the German auto maker but did not go into detail about the vehicle. The did, however, announce it will offer an optional electrochromic glass roof they call, Magic Sky Control.

Customers who order the roof will have the option of dimming or darkening the top glass panel in just a few seconds via a switch in the overhead console.
