Mercedes-Benz has created the BIOME, a futuristic concept for the Los Angeles Auto Show Design Challenge. The car was never intended to be constructed, only designed.

"Inspired by nature," the BIOME is a 2+2 seater coupe, which features out of this world styling and a full-length glass canopy. The company hasn't commented on how much the concept weighs, but the Design Challenge model was to create a 1000 lb vehicle that is both safe and comfortable to drive.

Autocar is reporting new details on the next-generation 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The B-Class will be made from a new front-wheel drive platform, and will be made of a conventional unibody frame, making its less expensive than the current model's structure.

The platform will also spawn the next A-Class, as well as other vehicles including a compact SUV and a small sedan model.

Mercedes-Benz  has a new car, the CLS Shooting Brake, which is set to go into serial production, has a fascinating design.
